About. Royal National Lifeboat Institution All-weather Lifeboat Station which houses a heritage centre, Tamar class lifeboat and souvenir shop. In metro stations in Santiago you can buy a BIP card fro use on the metro and buses. The card has a small cost and you add on what you think you will need. The fares vary by time of day but you are likely to need the 800 peso fare each for each journey. You aren't supposed to share a card but I don't think anyone will mind a tourist doing it.

MOUSEHOLE. On 23 rd September 2015, I was invited to spend the day at a very special station, the old Penlee RNLI boathouse in Mousehole. The last lifeboat to launch from the old boathouse was the Solomon Browne on 19 th December 1981, a rescue mission during which the entire crew perished along with those they'd saved from the coaster Union.

Lifeboat types include the most recent addition to the RNLI fleet, the Shannon Class All-Weather Lifeboat to the smallest Inshore D Class Lifeboats.
